Leeds United have not lost a game played after 5pm at Elland Road since 2024, while Pep Guardiola has not lost at Leeds in any of his last three visits. Which record will give way on Saturday?

Manchester City knows what to do; they have done it before, and there’s no doubt that they can do it again. The Cityzens must win all their remaining games to be guaranteed the title; this run includes the visit of Arsenal to the Etihad. This will be fascinating to see.

Leeds United has impressed greatly since the festive season. Only Arsenal has beaten Leeds in recent fixtures, and what that means is that the Cityzens must give everything to ensure that this potential banana skin doesn’t hack them down in their pursuit of the title.

Two wins in their last four, without losing any of the remaining two, show that Leeds United has improved greatly. Daniel Farke has done a great job to steer the club clear of immediate danger as they currently sit above Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and West Ham in the relegation dogfight.

Manchester City drew Real Madrid in the Champions League knockout phase draw held in Switzerland on Friday; this is the fifth consecutive season that both teams will be pitched against each other in the competition. This will have a huge bearing on City’s season as they hope to compete on all fronts.

How can Leeds United stop Manchester City? It’s a huge ask because everyone knows how the Cityzens approach the final third of the season. Pep Guardiola’s side has won each of their last five; it will be tough for the hosts on Saturday.

Leeds must keep up with the pace of the game. The visitors will be direct and quick. The midfield battle will be key, so Ethan Ampadu must keep an eye on loose balls, and Leeds must not lose too many second balls. Concentration will be everything on Saturday.

Jeremy Doku is believed to be fit and available for selection. This offers Pep Guardiola more options as he tries to find the right balance on the wing. With the injury table easing up, Guardiola is primed to have enough ammunition to fight Arsenal all the way.

Leeds must play as a unit. They cannot afford to respect their visitors; however, they must be cautious. They cannot over-commit. Erling Haaland is a player they cannot allow to get his mojo against them. Antoine Semenyo and Omar Marmoush are other options. It will be a long night for the hosts.

Verdict: City to win.
