Arsenal remain perfect in the Champions League after another professional performance away at Slavia Prague, taking the Gunners’ tally in the group phase to 12 points.

Mikel Arteta’s side rotated in the defence, with Pinheiro Hincapie coming in for Ricardo Calafiori, while Christian Norgaard came in for the suspended Martin Zubimendi, Ethan Nwaneri started in place of Ebere Eze, and Mikel Merino stepped in upfront for the injured Viktor Gyokeres.

The rotation didn’t stop Arsenal from dominating a game that proved to be physical, as Bukayo Saka fired in the opener from the spot and Mikel Merino added two second-half goals to make it 3-0 with another clean sheet, Arsenal’s 8th in a row in all competitions.

Despite Brennan Johnson's dismissal for a rash challenge, Tottenham dominated Copenhagen in North London, winning 4-0. The sending off was after the Welshman had sent Spurs in front with a crisp finish.

Randall Kolo Mouani was instrumental to the second goal, but you wonder how he didn’t score himself. The Frenchman set up Wilson Odobert for the second. Micky Van De Ven danced in to score the third, while Joao Palhinha rounded off scoring with a simple tap-in.

Away from English teams, the two juggernaut fixtures of Tuesday served us drama as expected, with the Anfield fans showing Trent Alexander-Arnold all the love with jeers when he came on late in the game with Liverpool leading 1-0.

Luis Diaz swung from being the hero to becoming the villain at Parc des Princes after scoring two goals to send Bayern in front, but his indiscretions saw him sent off after his reckless tackle saw Achraf Hakimi seriously injured in the game.

Bayern’s 2-1 win sent them to the top of the Champions League group phase log, closely followed by Arsenal, with the Germans only ahead on goals scored. Inter Milan have the chance to join the perfect duo when they face Kairat Almaty at home on Wednesday.

Chelsea will be away at Qarabag, hoping to get a result to keep them in the top 8, while Manchester City will also hope to make home advantage count when Borussia Dortmund visits on Wednesday, with a win set to settle the Cityzens in the top 8 at least for this round.

Newcastle will be home to Athletic Bilbao, and a win will be enough to end their game round 4 in the top 8 too. The Magpies had a horrible showing at the weekend away at West Ham; they cannot afford to play like that in Europe.
