The Premier League returned Saturday with thrilling results, but the biggest was at Anfield, where Liverpool may need to panic.

The league is shaping up with Arsenal extending their lead at the top to three points after beating Fulham, while Manchester City usurped Liverpool with a strong win over Everton earlier on Saturday.

Bournemouth lost their lead twice to settle for a 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace, while Sunderland continued their strong run with a brilliant 2-0 win over Wolves. Is Vitor Pereira's side in trouble?

Tottenham's season is gradually deteriorating following another embarrassing loss to Aston Villa on Sunday. The victory was the first one away from home for Unai Emery's team, and it shows how weak Tottenham can be even from a winning position.

To the biggest one, Liverpool's form has now descended to a new low of four straight losses, with three of those coming in the league. Arne Slot is increasingly becoming a nuisance at pressers. Is the pressure getting to him?

How did things play out at Anfield? Ruben Amorim opted to bench Benjamin Šeško, keeping his usual shape, which somehow stifled the Liverpool attack. Do we continue to pretend like the Liverpool investment isn't failing?

Mega money on Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike; both couldn't start the game. Alexander Isak couldn't impact that game, and, apart from Cody Gakpo, who impressed, the entire Liverpool attack was blunt, and it just might be time to sit Mohamed Salah on the bench.

It was an early goal for Manchester United, and then Cody Gakpo levelled in the second half. United scored almost immediately after the leveller through the usual suspect, Harry Maguire, and Liverpool couldn't find an answer.

To wrap things up, the inevitable eventually happened to Ange Postecoglou. 66 minutes into the game at home against Chelsea, club owner Evangelos Marinakis left his box and never returned; what followed was the sack for Postecoglou 18 minutes after full time.

Should Postecoglou have taken the job in the first place? Should Marinakis have hired a manager who doesn't play the kind of football his players are used to? Where does Forest go from here?
