Arsenal's shambolic performance at the Emirates on Tuesday night against French champions PSG reminds their fans of the ghosts of the past, but it is not the end of the world.

PSG raced to a 1-0 lead through Ousmane Dembélé, and the Gunners didn't have an answer as the game ended without another goal, leaving the second leg on the edge as both sides have it all to play for.

Mikel Arteta is confident Arsenal will turn the result around in Paris next week, citing his confidence ahead of the Real Madrid game at the Santiago Bernabeu; the boys must respond if they want to experience the Champions League final.

"If you want to be in the Champions League final, you have to do something special," he said. "We're going to have to do something special in Paris to be there.

"We're at half-time, and my message is exactly the same as how it was against Real Madrid at home, 3-0. We have to go to Paris and win the game. We are more than capable of doing it.

"I saw two very good teams, but the margins are so small. They had efficiency in front of the goal. The keeper as well made a difference to see the result that we've seen tonight." It was a game of two separate stories with both sides missing glorious chances.

Gianluigi Donnarumma saved from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard before Bradley Barcola spurned a great chance to double PSG's lead and Gonçalo Ramos hit the woodwork later.

It is delicately poised, advantage PSG as things stand; however, should Arsenal dream of a final appearance, their second ever, they must do something special in Paris, the same ground where they faced pains in 2006.

On Wednesday night, Inter Milan must put behind their recent slump to face a buzzing Barcelona side. The Catalonians won the King's Cup last weekend after beating Real Madrid 3-2, while Inter lost their advantage in the league with a loss at home to Roma.

It's a game between two sides who could go on and win the title if they make it to the final; it will be a game of attack against defence: Hansi Flick against Simeone Inzaghi. it's one we're waiting to see how it will pan out.
