The mood at Old Trafford is quite different from what it has been for two years now; Manchester United suddenly buzzes with hope and renewed vigor. Is this going to be permanent?

When a new manager takes to the dugout, you expect a new manager bounce, but, beyond a purple patch and temporary form, Manchester United must get a grip and return to the glory days. This fixture portends a huge opportunity to start well; they can’t pass on it.

Ipswich Town defeated the same Tottenham Hotspur team that destroyed Manchester City at the Etihad on Saturday, and it was the Tractor Boys' first win on their eleventh attempt to return to the Premier League; this is why we love football.

Everyone is focusing on the new manager at Old Trafford, but are they paying attention to their hosts? It won’t be that straightforward on Sunday.

Manchester United won three of their last four games, all under interim boss Ruud Van Nistelrooy, who has since departed the club after Ruben Amorim stated he would bring his own men. The mood in the away dressing room is joyous, and you expect them to keep it that way, but will Ipswich let them?

The fresh air is a welcome development, not only for United fans but also for those who love football; the Bruno Fernandes we see now is different from the one who was always getting frustrated and into the referee's books throughout the season.

Defensively, we would love to see what Amorim decides to do, especially with his formation, considering the available players. Many would be interested in seeing his first team sheet, as it would reveal a lot about his style and how he plans to manage his ego.

While the attention is primarily on the man in the away dugout, Kieran McKenna will trust his young lads who are not afraid to run at opponents. Even though he is still missing many players, he will trust the available ones to cause trouble for the visitors.

Watch out for Marcus Rashford; he is a player for this kind of occasion, but he might not do it consistently. Omari Hutchinson and Liam Delap are the ones to watch on the home side; it should be fun, especially for the neutrals.

Verdict: Manchester United to win.
