It’s all smiles at Arsenal now, and fans of the Gunners hope to build on the current run of results to continue staying at the top of the Premier League log.

Luton Town sits outside the relegation zone by two points. It’s okay to look at Everton as the reason they’re outside the red zone, but they have made their own luck by picking important results at pivotal times; the top of that must be the one they got at home against Liverpool.

Luton Town’s squad quality is one of the weakest in the league, and they’re not going to disappoint anyone if they go down—outside their top fans, by the way—but they believe they can do it, and how else can they walk the talk if not by scraping the scalp of another top side?

Arsenal beat Wolves 2-1 on Saturday, a decent result, but, on the evidence of their second-half display, they might need to buckle up before allowing opponents into the game even when the tides are very much in their favour.

How Arsenal turned a routine win into something they had to rally for is only up to them. It felt like Arsenal was going to batter Wolves at the Emirates, but, chance after chance, the Gunners only won by a goal margin. They need to close games out better.

Luton nearly beat the Kops at Kenilworth Road at the start of November; the game was there for the taking, with Liverpool huffing and puffing. It was never going to be easy, but it could have been a glorious ending. Luton also must learn to close games better.

Arsenal is the clear favourite here. It’s an away game, but Arsenal, on eye tests, have done better in away games than at the Emirates; however, the stats would disagree. This is the first of four away games in five fixtures for the Gunners; it’s a tough season.

Who will stand to be counted for the Hatters? Thomas Kaminski must have a good game; he will face Arsenal’s erratic front three. It doesn’t stop there because Arsenal is one of those teams that get goals from everywhere; he must be alert.

Watch out for Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli on either flank for Arsenal. They have been integral in build-ups, and both had a part to play in Arsenal’s last few goals. Luton Town must find ways to deal with them throughout the game.

Luton Town, with a shock win, will steer clear of the drop zone even before the rest play their games, but an Arsenal win will take the Gunners five points clear of the team, at least. That’s enough incentive for us to have a blinding game at Kenilworth Road.

Verdict: Straight win for Arsenal.
