Portugal 3-3 Spain: Ronaldo nets hat-trick (Official Match Highlights)

This should be one of the best games in a World Cup tournament, as European champions, Portugal played a 3-3 draw against former World champions Spain.

Spain who sacked their coach on the eve of the World Cup didn't look to lack the motivation to play at their best, the favourites as most pundits have called them were brilliant as they came back into the game after going down 1-0 early on the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo who was fouled in the box by his Real Madrid teammate Nacho scored from the resulting penalty before Diego Costa went on a solo run to bully the Portugal defence before scoring the equalizer.

Portugal who played some breathtaking counter-attacking football went ahead again after Manchester United's goalkeeper David De Gea made a mess of a Cristiano Ronaldo outside shot.

Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa levelled the score again at 2-2 in the 55th minute as both teams continue to play some beautiful football.

The two last goals were something to behold, three minutes after Costa scored his equalizer, Real Madrid defender Nacho scored a beautiful screamer with a half-volley from outside the box to give La Roja the lead for the first time in the game.

Spain looked to be running away with all three points, but Cristiano Ronaldo scored another beautiful goal from a free kick after Pique fouled the former Manchester United attacker in the 88th minute.

Portugal will now face Morocco in their next game while Spain will play Iran. The Atlast Lion of Morocco lost to Iran 1-0 the first match in Group B earlier today.
