The weekend once again showed us that the title race in the Premier League will go down to the wire. You can say the same for the relegation dogfight too; let's have a look at some talking points from the just-concluded weekend in the English Premier League.

Starting from what we saw on Friday, where Wolves dented Aston Villa's title race. You'll wonder where these Wolves have been all along, but one thing is now certain: Wolves won't be the worst. Premier League side ever after surpassing Derby County's tally with their 2-0 win over Villa. No wonder Rob Edwards injured himself while celebrating the winner.

Aston Villa is now in danger of missing out on the top five. They have lost their place in the top 3 after Manchester United beat Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Sunday; Chelsea and Liverpool are both lurking, waiting to creep in as well. Should Villa be worried?

Speaking of Manchester United, is there a chance that the Red Devils would have been in the title race if Ruben Amorim had been fired earlier? You look at the table and wonder what could have been had the Portuguese manager tinkered better.

Nottingham Forest and West Ham could both survive the drop this season. Let's agree Burnley and Wolves are already doomed, but could there indeed be a chance that Tottenham Hotspur goes down this season?

Igor Tudor must be really worried after another loss at Fulham on Sunday. If they were tepid at home against the league leaders, they were even worse off on Sunday against the Lilywhites. Are Spurs going to bail Forest and the Hammers out?

There are four points between Tottenham and West Ham. Igor Tudor's side hosts Crystal Palace next; you can't put your money on Spurs to beat the Eagles, especially with both having the same number of days to prepare. If West Ham beats Fulham at Craven Cottage, we could be looking at a real possibility of Spurs getting relegated.

To the big ones. Manchester City labored past Leeds, but they got the job done. Chelsea stayed in the game until the end against Arsenal as well, and what we have learned is that this season might be decided at the Etihad when City hosts Arsenal.

The Gunners keep finding creative ways to win, and the quality of their set pieces on Sunday will trouble anyone. Chelsea must do better if they want to finish in Champions League places. Forest is up next for City, while Arsenal travels to Brighton. Who blinks first?
