If the Gunners eventually go all the way to win the title this season, their 2-1 win at the Emirates last December against Wolves will be one of the results they will consider pivotal.

A game many expected them to dominate with lots of goals soon turned into one they had to labor hard for. It took two own goals and the resurrection of Gabriel Jesus to see them past the bottom club.

Wolves won at the weekend away at Grimsby in the FA Cup. It looks like Rob Edwards' side has given up in the league; they can take solace in the FA Cup and see how far they can go with their league survival completely out of their hands.

16 points off safety with only 12 games left to play doesn't inspire any confidence. Wolves may as well start preparing for life in the Championship; however, if they still believe in miracles, this game might be one in which they can prove it.

Arsenal drew away at Brentford last week, prompting lots of people to wonder if they're on a decline. The 4-0 annihilation of Wigan at the weekend doesn't change much, but they must win here to heap pressure on their assailants.

The Gunners are playing on Wednesday because they're in the Carabao Cup final next month against Manchester City; this technically means the Cityzens will have a game in hand until around April. It's a sense of déjà vu for Arsenal; they must be careful.

Beating Wolves anywhere for a team like Arsenal shouldn't be a prayer point. Regardless of injury issues, this should be an easy three points; however, if you saw the first leg at the Emirates, you'll understand why Arsenal must have a strong start on Wednesday.

This is the first time in the history of English football that two teams in the top flight are still pushing for an unprecedented quadruple, with Arsenal and City both active on all four fronts. This could be special for either of them.

Bukayo Saka has been rumored to have signed a lucrative extension at Arsenal; this comes ahead of the trip to Wolves and could be announced ahead of the North London Derby. Are we going to see the England winger on fire at Wolves?

Declan Rice will be immense. Mikel Arteta confirmed Ricardo Calafiori and Ben White are fit to play; Wolves must be brave and dare the Gunners like they have nothing to lose. It won't be a surprise if the Gunners return home with the three points.

Verdict: Arsenal to win.
