Wolves still haven't won a single game this season. They will attempt again on Monday night against Manchester United, which would be their 15th time of asking.

It's difficult to see a different result outside a Manchester United win. Wolves can't get out of the hole, and now they must find creative ways to avoid ending up on the wrong side of history as the worst-ever Premier League side.

The Red Devils rode their luck in the second half against Crystal Palace; the tiredness in the Palace squad eventually reduced the intensity of the Eagles, ultimately handing Manchester United the initiative before United settled for a 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Beating Palace away was thought to have helped the confidence of the Manchester United squad; not many expected them to fail to beat West Ham at Old Trafford. Now they cannot afford to lose steam against a poor Wolves side.

The anger in the United squad following their 1-1 draw against the Hammers is expected to translate to a strong performance against the worst team in the league; it's more about by how many goals and not if United will beat Wolves on Monday.

Wolves try their best in games; they just can't give what they don't have. The quality in their squad is poor; they probably can't wait till January to try to invest in the squad, only that it might be too late then.

How did it get this bad for Wolves? They sold top players like Matheus Cunha, Mario Lemina, and Matheus Nunes without replacing them adequately. The Chinese owners believe they have enough to stay in the league; it appears they don't.

Manchester United will go joint fifth with Chelsea on the log; that's a big motivation, even if you don't need lots of that to beat this Wolves side. Anything short of a win for United would be a huge dent in their European ambitions.

How will both sides line up? Strand Larsen and Tolu Arokodare are expected to lead the line for the hosts, with Andre and Bellgarde in the middle of the park. Rob Edwards is expected to find solutions to their leaky defence; however, he won't manufacture players.

For United, Mason Mount and Bryan Mbeumo are expected to return behind Cunha as the Brazilian faces his old club for the first time. Ruben Amorim has many of his injured players back; he won't have an excuse on Monday.

Verdict: United to win.
