The final game of game week 23 in the Premier League is a big one for many reasons at Craven Cottage, with Manchester United seeking a result that returns them to winning ways in the league.

The Red Devils cowered out the last time at home to Brighton, losing 3-1 in front of the Old Trafford crowd, but while they made up for that with a last-gasp win in the Europa League on Thursday, United must beat Fulham to avert another fan rage.

Despite slipping to tenth on the table after the events of Saturday in the Premier League, Fulham could leapfrog Brighton and Aston Villa into 8th on the log if they manage to do what they couldn’t do in the reverse fixture.

Joshua Zirkzee came off the bench to score on his debut to hand Manchester United a narrow win at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season. That was a long time ago, with United having their third manager since then.

Fulham’s season is going amazingly well and according to plan. The Lilywhites are in the running to finish in European places, and, with Premier League teams flying in Europe currently, eighth position might be enough to achieve European football next season.

Who is available for this one and who is not? Kenny Tete is still recovering from his knee problem, while Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson is unavailable due to his thigh problem, so everyone else is available for selection for Marco Silva.

Lenny Yoro and Matthijs De Ligt are both major doubts for this one, as they both suffered different degrees of injuries on Thursday in the Europa League against Rangers. Noussair Mazraoui is struggling with a knock, but he should be fine while Luke Shaw and Johnny Evans remain sidelined.

Marcus Rashford is closer to an exit from Manchester United than ever before, with reports suggesting a move to Barcelona is possible in the coming days. Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund will both fight for a spot upfront, while another name being thrown around in the transfer window is Alejandro Garnacho, but he will be available for selection on Sunday.

Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe are going to trouble the Red Devils while Raul Jimenez will hope to continue his recent form, and on the other side, Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes will hope to lift United past their hosts; it will be fun at Craven Cottage.

Verdict: Both teams to score.
