The myth of the new manager bounce persists, but how did Wolves ruthlessly defeat Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, right in front of the Foxes' relatively new manager?

After the dismissal of Gary O'Neil, Vitor Pereira took charge, and Wolves unexpectedly regained their ability to score goals without conceding; who would have imagined that the same group of players could perform so well? While Leicester played like amateurs on the day, we must appreciate Wolves too.

The manner in which Manchester United lost at home to Bournemouth is reminiscent of the Eric Ten Hag era. Is Ruben Amorin in trouble already?

Wolves halted a run of five successive defeats to beat Leicester at the weekend, a result that hasn’t taken them out of the drop zone, but a win at the Molineux against an equally troubled Manchester United side could do the trick.

Manchester United players need to examine themselves and improve. Amorim was quick to send a note of warning to fans upon his arrival that it’s going to be a stormy ride; you must wonder what he saw in his first training for him to say such.

Following their elimination from the League Cup by Spurs and their draw with Arsenal in the FA Cup's third round, Manchester United may decide to concentrate on the Europa League and aim for a top ten finish in the Premier League.

How will Wolves approach this game? They won’t play a side as formidable as Leicester every game week, so they must be prepared for a real battle against the Red Devils, but they can rest assured that Amorim’s side will give them the opportunity to score; they must take it.

Mario Lemina could be fit for this one, as he only carries a knock. Sasa Kalajdzic is back in training too, and that could be of beneficial help; however, they still have lots of players on the injury list, including Pablos Sarabia and Boubacar Traore, who is expected back in the coming days.

The visitors could welcome back Matthijs De Ligt, who missed the 3-0 embarrassment at home to Bournemouth, but Marcus Rashford continues to be left out after his recent comment in the media; that’s something Amorim needs to attend to before it turns into another Sancho situation.

Verdict: Both teams will score.
