It’s the weekend, people; football is always a huge part of our weekend, and we take a look at some buzzing headlines ahead of the fixtures coming up this weekend.

Is City in trouble over injuries?

They will celebrate their Ballon d'Or this weekend, despite being away at Bournemouth. However, what are the available players for Pep Guardiola to select from?

World-best player Rodri is out for the rest of the season. Savinho, who was nominated for the Kopa trophy, which went to Lamine Yamal, limped out in midweek, adding to a growing list of injuries that has Kevin De Bruyne, Jeremy Doku, Jack Grealish, and Kyle Walker on it. Are they in trouble?

Amorim will begin working at Old Trafford in two weeks.

Manchester United has appointed Sporting Lisbon head coach Ruben Amorim as their substantive manager, and he will be taking over the reigns during the upcoming international break.

Amorim replaces Erik Ten Hag, who was fired on Monday after a run of poor results, including the latest, which was the 2-1 loss at West Ham. It is believed that Amorim will sign for three years and will be allowed time to build his own project.

A devastating flood in Spain halts the Valencia-Madrid game.

It’s been tough for people in the Valencia region of Spain as the nation has been thrown into mourning with 150 people declared dead and many more missing after a terrible flood in Valencia.

The Spanish FA has requested the postponement of all regional games, including the La Liga match between Valencia and Real Madrid. Our hearts are with everyone directly involved in this gory incident in Valencia, Spain.

Klopp questions Sergio Ramos' character on Kroos Podcast

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he is not sure Sergio Ramos is a decent guy following two separate incidents in the Champions League final of 2018, where Real Madrid ran out 3-1 winners, with Klopp suggesting dark arts from the former Real Madrid captain.

Ramos was involved in a tangle with Mohammed Salah, which forced the Liverpool winger off with a shoulder problem and later clattered Loris Karius in the Liverpool goal, leaving the goalkeeper concussed and culpable for two goals, which Klopp described on Toni Kroos’ podcast as Ramos’ making.

Southampton must win their relegation by 6 points.

St. Mary’s Stadium will host Everton on Saturday, a game the Saints must win if they want to keep any realistic hope of staying in the Premier League alive following a run of nine games without a single win since their return to the top flight.

Everton is high in confidence at the moment, forcing Fulham to a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park last weekend with a late goal; the Toffees will go for it, but the Saints must stay compact, building on their cup win in midweek.
