The grueling international break is over; we’re back to league football, and we don’t expect another interruption until the final quarter of the season. That is worth celebrating.

As the Premier League hits us with loads of interesting fixtures this weekend, we want to take a look at a few huge fixtures that could change a lot of things, from the title race to the fight for the top ten spots and then the relegation battle.

Nottingham Forest's trip to Arsenal is significant for numerous reasons. The Gunners need a win even if they buy it. The draw away at Chelsea was not a great result because they dominated and should have won, but they will have it all to do in the title race if they don’t win on Saturday.

Regardless of how strong Forest has been this season, no one expects them to go to the Emirates and return with three points, but since they have picked maximum points at Anfield this season and at some other tough grounds, they will believe they can do it.

Arsenal’s injury crisis isn’t going away; Ben White has been ruled out until the end of the year after undergoing surgery, and it only means the Gunners need Ricardo Calafiori back to be able to field their preferred defensive line-up; Martin Odegaard is available, and Bukayo Saka should be; they must win.

Ruben Amorim takes to the Manchester United dugout for the first time against Ipswich Town on Sunday; it’s a game of huge significance, as he would hope to have a great start to his Old Trafford career considering the promises around his appointment.

Ipswich Town picked their first win of the season on their eleventh attempt away at Tottenham; it was special and significant; they no longer fear defeat as they have lost enough; United must be wary of them on Sunday.

Finally, what does Pep Guardiola need to do to halt the rot? For the first time in his career, Pep Guardiola has suffered four straight losses; his achievements are undeniable, but is the atmosphere at the Etihad waning? To make matters worse, his next opponent is Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham is on an indifferent run; they also need a win to salvage pride, but how will they fare against a Manchester City side that is bleeding and needs wins to keep up with Liverpool? A draw or a loss will be devastating for both sides; both teams must win, making the match a spectacle for the neutrals.
