High-flying Liverpool meets Brighton again, for the second time in four days after both teams played out an entertaining game in the fifth round of the Carabao Cup, with Liverpool advancing after a 3-2 win.

Brighton is thriving under new manager Fabian Hurzelar, the youngest man to ever take to the dugout in the Premier League on a permanent basis; however, the rejuvenation of Danny Welbeck under the German is worth talking about.

Welbeck has become the darling of Fantasy Premier League managers, scoring freely and rivalling Erling Haaland on points tally; the likes of Carlos Baleba, Yakubu Minteh, and Simon Adingra are also pulling their weight; it won’t be an easy game for the Kops.

Liverpool has only dropped points twice all season—that unfortunate game at home to Nottingham Forest and the big one at the Emirates last weekend, where they would admit they were lucky to escape with a point.

During the game, Arsenal sustained two major injuries to their defenders, Gabriel and Jurien Timber, with Liverpool's second equalizer occurring immediately after the Dutchman's replacement. Timber marked out Mohammed Salah while he was on the pitch, frustrating the Egyptian until he couldn’t go anymore.

With 12 minutes remaining, Salah scored the equalizer, leading Liverpool to believe they could win the match. However, it was Arsena who scored, despite referee Anthony Taylor's controversial decision to blow for an infringement.

Brighton has a number of players on the injury list, but Ferdi Kadioglu may be available for selection following recent knocks. Minteh, James Milner, and Solly March are all back in training, but will they feature?

Good news for Brighton is that Joao Pedro is off the injury list, but the Brazilian isn’t fit to start. Will he be on the bench? Another player with a yellow flag is Lewis Dunk; he is known to be a warrior; he will give everything to feature, but will Hurzelar risk him?

Diogo Jota and Alisson are certain absentees for the hosts; they will not return until after the international break, while the status of Federico Chiesa remains uncertain. Harvey Elliott is another absentee, but Liverpool will be fine without the youngster.

Salah and Luiz Diaz are the players to watch out for. The latter had a subdued game at the Emirates with Thomas Partey standing firm, but expect him to burst to life at Anfield on Saturday. It should be another entertaining game.

Verdict: Liverpool is to win.
