It's only a few days to the start of the season across top leagues in Europe, how are teams chopping and shoving ahead of the new season?

Does Ten Hag expect Sancho to leave?

It was revealed last month that the relationship between Jadon Sancho and Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has been mended after a torrid year where both couldn’t see eyeball to eyeball following a social media incident, but it still looks like the club wishes the player away.

Ten Hag revealed on Tuesday that the club still hasn’t gotten a bid for the player from PSG, and while the French champions retain interest in Sancho, he isn’t their top priority as they seek to create space for Victor Osimhen.

Szczesny leaves Juventus for free.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szcesny has terminated his contract with Juventus after years of service to the former Juventus shot-stopper.

Szczesny was in discussion with Arsenal at the start of the transfer window as a backup goalie to David Raya, with Aaron Ramsdale expected to leave, but the conversation went south due to his unrealistic wage demands. The Polish goalkeeper is currently in talks with Saudi clubs.

Sergi Roberto walks away from Barca.

Barcelona’s long-serving utility player Sergi Roberto has left the club on a free transfer, bringing an end to a stellar career with the Catalan giants, loaded with titles and accolades.

It is easy for players like Sergi Roberto to go under the radar because he isn't known for flair or lots of goals, but Lionel Messi referred to him as the glue, someone who helps the team tick. Expect Sergi Roberto to join Inter Miami in the MLS.

Fernandes extends his contract at Old Trafford.

Following the capture of Dutch defenders Mathijs De Ligt and Nassir Mazraoui, Manchester United has tied club captain Bruno Fernandes to a new deal that takes his contract to 2027.

Fernandes remains an integral part of the Manchester United team, creating and scoring important goals, but his leadership must improve as the club seeks to step into a new era. United is still on the hunt for a midfielder; they could look elsewhere if Manuel Ugarte doesn’t happen.

Mourinho’s Fenerbahce leaves the UCL permanently.

After a 1-1 draw in the second leg of their Champions League qualification clash in Turkey against French side Lille, Jose Mourinho and Fenerbahce have been bundled out of the competition this season.

The "Special One" joined with the hope of proving he still had it in him at the top, but after losing 2-1 away in France, only a home win would earn them a chance in the final qualifying round. However, despite scoring at the last minute, Jonathan David delivered a devastating blow deep into extra time, making it 3-2 on aggregate for the French side.
