Fixtures for the 2023–2024 Premier League season have been released, and the opening day already promises all sorts of fun with champions Manchester City away to newly promoted Burnley on Friday, August 11th.

The Clarets return after one season in the championship, and they will start at home against treble-winning Manchester City.

It's an irony that Burnley is managed by City legend Vincent Kompany, and he’d be having a baptism of fire on his first bow in the top flight as a manager.

Lunchtime kickoff on Saturday, August 12th, would see runners-up for last season, Arsenal, host Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest.

It would be a great opportunity for the Gunners to start well in front of their fans as they hope to mount another title challenge.

Brighton will be home to the new boys. Luton Town and Sean Dyche’s Everton will host Fulham at Goodison Park, and West Ham will be away at the Vitality Stadium to play Bournemouth.

The last of the new boys, Sheffield United, will host Crystal Palace, while the Saturday fixtures will end with a game between Villa and Newcastle at St. James’s Park.

On Sunday, Brentford will host Tottenham Hotspur at 2 p.m., while arguably the game of the opening round would be at the Stamford Bridge Stadium, where Chelsea would host Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool boys in what would be Mauricio Pochettino’s first official game in charge at Chelsea’s dugout.

Manchester United would round off the opening round on Monday with the visit of Wolves to the Old Trafford Stadium.

All fixtures are subject to change due to TV schedules and other variables. It's time for fans to start running permutations on where their team will finish.
