It’s a weird day in the premier league, with eight games coming thick and fast with five of them happening at the same time. Fans are in for a treat in game week 14.

Leeds United must be really worried and Jesse Marsch should be looking over his shoulders with just two points earned out of a possible twenty-four. The latest of their horrible results, a 3-2 home loss to Fulham has torched the light on the manager, it’s scrutiny time.

Leeds has only earned two draws in eight games, it can’t get worse, can it? And a trip to Liverpool at this stage can be tricky. Do you go all out for the scalp of a struggling giant or do you keep calm and try to hit them on the break?

Liverpool was embarrassed at Nottingham Forest last weekend; their own homeboy, Taiwo Awoniyi that never got the chance to kick the ball at Anfield was the one on the end of the Forest chance that got Liverpool leaving empty-handed.

How do you go from challenging City for the title to losing week in and week out and risking losing out of Europe altogether? Who can explain the problem at Liverpool? Are they done? Is it the 7th season syndrome for Jurgen Klopp? Are they burned and do they need to recharge?

Leeds should fancy their chance here. The visitors can drive hard at Liverpool and stay disciplined enough to end the match with eleven men. The return to fitness of Patrick Bamford could be the catalyst to their revival but if they want to survive, they have to start fighting now.

Liverpool has Ibrahim Konate back in contention and will hope the midfield can power them to something respectable this time. The loss against Forest is behind them and they have to get out of the woods now, no excuses.

Mohammed Salah needs to start scoring again, and Darwin Nunez needs to look at Erling Haaland and wish for his numbers but do you really blame the attackers? It’s lean in the middle for Liverpool, that is exactly where the problem is.

It's a game against two teams that need to respond. One must win to forget the embarrassment of last weekend and the other must earn a result to steady the ship or sink further into the relegation zone. Who will come out tops?

Verdict: Both teams to score.
