Nottingham Forest are close to announcing the signing of Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis from Watford in a deal worth £15m and he will sign for four years with an option of another year.

The Nigerian forwarded relegated with the Hornets last season after scoring ten times and assisting on six occasions.

Denis was a delight to Fantasy Premier League managers with returns every now and then but his numbers dried up in January.

Denis fell out with Nigerians after he failed to turn up for the African Nations Cup call up but made amends in the failed World Cup qualifiers as Nigeria lost to Ghana on away goals rule.

Nottingham Forest seeks to add the Nigerian to their ranks in a bid to make their stay in the league permanent.

Forest signed Remo Freuler from Serie A side Atalanta and the Swiss was their thirteenth signing of the summer.

Denis will be the fourteenth and you wonder if he’d be the last of Lee Cooper’s splurge in the summer transfer window.
