It’s that time of the season where everyone monitors breaking news and player movements, we bring to you the peak of the bunch as team try to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
Lingard joins Nottingham Forest
Westham came calling but he declined, an offer came from the MLS but he declined and guess what? Former Manchester United midfielder and TikTok sensation Jesse Lingard has joined the premier league new boys Nottingham Forest on a one-year deal.
Lingard obviously went for the money with Nottingham Forest reportedly offering him a massive £200k deal per week, going 25% better than what the Hammers offered and a chance for him to help his boyhood club to a successful season in the top flight.
Ramsey in no man’s land
Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has been left out of Juventus’ training tour to the United States and will not be offered any role in the team for next season following injuries and poor form.
Ramsey finished the second half of last season at Rangers and wouldn’t be remembered for good there as he missed the decisive penalty that lost the Europa League for the Scottish side; reports suggest Ramsey’s Juventus contract will be terminated in the coming days and he will be a free agent.
Kounde would rather join Barcelona
Chelsea have struggled in the ongoing transfer window despite being eventually able to land Raheem Sterling and Khalidou Koulibaly.
The Blues failed in their bid to hijack the Gabriel Jesus deal, lost Raphinha to Barcelona and now are about to lose Joules Kounde to the Catalans again after the Frenchman opted to lower his salary demands to force a move to Camp Nou.
City sweat on Cucurella
Manchester City had a £30m bid for Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella rejected on arrival as the club wants to hold out for a massive £50m which the champions are certainly not going to pay and one thing that keeps City hopeful is the fact that the player wants to join.
Cucurella created 46 chances in 35 games last season, assisting once in the league and he caught the eyes of many but City are the only team going for him as a replacement for Oleg Zinchenko that has departed to Arsenal.
Juventus signs Bremer from Torino
Westham have made a €40m bid for Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo and would hope the figure will be enough to land the striker after they seem to be losing out on Chelsea’s Amando Broja with the Stamford Bridge side trying to keep him.
PSG tried for Scamacca and eventually settled for Hugo Ekitike of Reims and then a few teams are looking at the Italian as well but Westham would be happy to land him to bolster their attack line ahead of the new season.
