Chelsea interested in Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland as Thomas Tuchel look to improve his squad ahead for next season
Chelsea are interested in Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku and Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland as part of their summer spending plans to improve their squad according to sky sports.
Thomas Tuchel has told the Chelsea board that signing a top striker is his high priority.
The Champions League winners are interested to re-sign Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, who is expected to depart Serie A champions Inter Milan.
Inter are looking for a sum in the region of £100 million for their highest goal scorer last season as they need to offload some of their star players due to financial difficulties.
Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland is also being explored. The Norwegian is under contract with the Bundesliga club until 2024, although he has a €75 million (£66 million) release clause that kicks in in the summer of 2022.
In April, the player's representatives, Mino Raiola and his father Alf Inge spoke with representatives from Barcelona and Madrid, and he has also been connected with Manchester City and Manchester United.
Dortmund do not want to sell Haaland, who scored 41 goals in 41 games this season, according to Raiola, and Haaland himself has hinted that he may stay beyond the summer.
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and Wolves winger are also reported to be Thomas Tuchel's targets as the Champions League winning coach is looking to improve his squad ahead of his first full season at Chelsea.
