Atletico Madrid maintain their two points lead at the top of La Liga after draw at Barcelona, but city rivals Real Madrid have been handed the chance to leapfrog them.

If Real Madrid beat fourth-placed Sevilla, they will be level on points with Atletico but go to the summit as they have a better head-to-head record.

The La Liga title race is so open this season that all top four clubs still have the chance to win the league.

Lionel Messi came closest to breaking the deadlock for the hosts but Jan Oblak made a brilliant fingertip save after a solo run across the edge of the box.

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen saved Luis Suarez's near-post strike as the visitors created better chances in the first half.
