There’s the popular David and Goliath fame but there was also the Norwich City vs Manchester City fame last season, Fulham already proved bookies wrong once this season at Leicester, they can do it again.

Football has a way of confounding bookmakers but not many will favor the odds for Scott Parker’s side to get anything from this game, you won’t put anything past this Liverpool side by the way, they have produced the good, the bad, and the ugly this season so we don’t know what to expect.

Liverpool ended their champions league group stage with a draw, albeit with a much-changed side and Jurgen Klopp is happy to gloat about his kids, it’s allowed really, with Kelleher and the likes of Rhys Williams and Neco Williams, they can afford to rest some veterans.

Liverpool beat Wolves silly last weekend, Klopp left Diogo Jota on the bench as his old side came to town, the reason was that he didn’t want Nuno Espirito Santo to predict his moves, did it work? You can’t argue with a 4-0 win where even Matip got on the score sheet.

Fulham lost 2-0 to Manchester City, that’s given but their horror fixture line up continues with another title contender.

Fulham are still enjoying their sensational win at King Power Stadium, without that result, they’d be second from bottom.

But they lie 17th, one point above Burnley and the relegation zone, they can afford to breathe but if the Clarets win at Arsenal and Fulham don’t get a result here, they will be in the red zone.

Liverpool will be happy to recall their big boys for this fixture, if they rammed four past a strong side like Wolves, they can hurt Fulham and they won’t be sorry about it.

Scott Parker will do well to hope his side maintains positional discipline and avoid sending off.

Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane are certain to start despite the Egyptian playing all the minutes of their 1-1 draw in Europe in midweek.

Mane hasn’t been scoring as freely as one would expect but Liverpool gets goals from everywhere, they can afford to throw in anyone and will get same result.

Liverpool is eyeing the top spot, they will not want to slip up considering the fact that one or both of the Manchester clubs will drop points this weekend.

The Premier League champions will do what they have to do against a side that concedes freely.

Verdict: Liverpool to win.
