News breaking out of the capital in Paris says PSG manager, Thomas Tuchel has been fired.

The German manager is being shown the exit door in the wake of a 4-0 victory in Ligue 1 over Strasbourg on Wednesday night, a result that took the champions to within one point of leaders, Lille.

PSG indeed had a torrid start to the current season but Tuchel was able to turn it around, with a notable 3-1 win at Old Trafford sending PSG to the round of 16 at the detriment of Manchester United and they have since turned the corner in the league.

It was reported in November that Tuchel had few games to turn things around but after doing so, it was a huge shock to learn of his sack at a time he would be planning for life in the New Year with the team he has been managing for over three seasons.

Tuchel has won the league every season since joining PSG and took the oil-rich club to their first-ever champions league final in July, where the team was beaten by a solitary Kingsley Coman header in a game they created lots of chances.

A few names would be on the lips of many to replace the former Borussia Dortmund manager at PSG including ex Tottenham boss, Mauricio Pochetino and Former Juventus coach, Max Allegri.
