Kevin De Bruyne to join Man City "either tonight or tomorrow," Wolfsburg confirm

Kevin De Bruyne transfer saga is set to be coming to a conclusion as the former Chelsea midfielder is set to complete is Manchester city move in less than 48 hours.

The German club's sporting director, Klaus Allofs, confirmed a deal has been reached for the Belgian to move back to the Premier League just 18 months after leaving Stamford Bridge.

The fee, expected to be £54m, will be a club record fee exceeding what City paid to Liverpool for Raheem Sterling earlier in the transfer window.

“We will complete everything either tonight or tomorrow," Allofs told reporters. "De Bruyne is off to Manchester City.

"I explained at the presser [on Thursday] that we had begun talks, those talks have progressed. Now only minor issues remain."

De Bruyne was spotted taking pictures with fans after being left out of Wolfsburg's squad to face Schalke in their 3-0 victory on Friday night.

Kevin De Bruyne will only make Manchester City stronger, who have started the season brightly after a 100% record in their first 3 matches  without conceding a goal.
