Chelsea prepare late bid to beat Man Utd to the signing of Barcelona forward Pedro
Chelsea are likely to make a last-minute bid to hijack Manchester United's bid for Barcelona forward Pedro.
According to the daily mail, Manchester United are still the favorites to sign the 28-year old Spain international after executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward flew to Barcelona for further talks on Monday.
However Chelsea are ready to try to outbid their rivals to lure the Barcelona winger to Stamford bridge as reports suggest that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is particularly keen on the player.
Manchester city are also interested in Pedro but will only follow that up if they fail in their pursuit of Wolfsburg midfielder Kevin De Bruyne comes.
Any club that is hoping to win the battle to sign the winger must be ready to pay his £22m buy-out clause.
