Reports that Arsenal is exploring a move for Vinicius Jr are true, but how possible will it be for the Premier League champions to land the Brazilian? (Photo credit: Sky Sports)

The internet broke on Saturday when it emerged that Arsenal could sign Brazilian forward Vinicius Jr, but is it a deal that could happen?

Truth be told, almost all Arsenal fans must be having a eureka moment with the potential arrival of a marquee signing like Vini, but it's important to look at all angles before joining the party. Can Arsenal pull this off?

The 26-year-old Brazilian has only a year left on his contract at Real Madrid, and while a new offer is on the table, Vini is requesting a loyalty bonus before extending. Florentino Perez is known to be a huge fan of Vini, making it even harder for an exit to be likely.

Many Arsenal fans went into a meltdown when they realized that their club had lost Morgan Rogers to Chelsea. Selling Leandro Trossard didn't help matters too, and even the acquisition of Christos Tzolis didn't do much to make them feel better.

Hearing it could be possible for the Gunners to sign Vini Jr changes everything. Even Chelsea as a club would wonder if they could have exercised patience in the pursuit of Rogers, as they might be able to enter the ring for the Brazilian star.

How can Arsenal afford Vini?

Conversations around the fee, without a doubt, start from €150m despite the player being set to walk for free next summer. Vini's wage at Real Madrid is also believed to be worth north of €450k/wk. This will be a departure from Arsenal's wage structure.

Vini is definitely a player who will elevate Arsenal. He is a statement signing, one that commands respect and instills a fear factor. If Arsenal makes the transfer happen, it will cement their place as the favorite for the title again next season, but can they pull it off?

The likes of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Fabio Vieira, and Reiss Nelson are all up for sale. This means Arsenal could easily free up some wage bills to accommodate the huge expenses on Vini Jr., but what does this do to the dressing room?

If the Brazilian doesn't start with a bang, on high wages, and with huge expectations, how does the media understand that it could take time? Nicolas Pépé comes to mind for Arsenal fans with the weight of expectations following a mega-money signing.

Real Madrid will meet with the Brazilian and his camp on Monday, where it will be decided if he's staying or moving away. PSG and Manchester City are other clubs who could be interested in throwing their hats into the ring for Vini, but Arsenal will lead the race.

Vinicius Jr. running the left wing for Arsenal next season will be a huge upgrade on Trossard and Martinelli, and it's a statement of dominance from Mikel Arteta's Arsenal. If this deal happens, it just might be Uhuru in the title race even before it begins.
