Champions League: Real Madrid powers on, can Arsenal, Liverpool win on Wednesday?

The UEFA Champions League group phase kicked off across six grounds on Tuesday, with Real Madrid proving to be a force this season after a strong 2-1 win over Inter Milan.

Aston Villa scored three goals against Club Brugge in an exciting 3-2 draw, establishing a positive tone for the new campaign following a challenging start in the Premier League. Borussia Dortmund saw off Villarreal in another five-goal thriller. It doesn't stop there; Lille lost their advantage after going down to ten men in their 3-2 home loss to Real Betis.

To complete a good night for the Premier League, Erling Haaland scored twice to power Manchester City past Portuguese champions FC Porto to hand Enzo Maresca a debut win in the competition. How will the rest of the Premier League clubs fare in the competition?

On Wednesday, Barcelona will host Feyenoord at Camp Nou, and you can already guess how it will go, given the Spanish champions' form. While stranger things have occurred, Barcelona is expected to handle this match effortlessly.
