Arsenal's title defence will begin with a home game against newly promoted side Coventry City after the new season draw was completed on Thursday.

The opening day of the season pitched us some intriguing fixtures, and we can't wait to go again. 

It's only 28 days after Arsenal won the title for the first time in 22 years; we're already set for the new season. Let's dive deep into the fixtures.

The champions will welcome Coventry to the Emirates on Friday, the 21st of August, in the curtain raiser for the season. 

The new boys must be ready. 

Arsenal could have some key players missing due to their participation at the ongoing World Cup, but the Gunners will still be the favorites to win the game.

On Saturday, it will be time for another set of new boys, Hull City and Ipswich, to test the waters in the Premier League once again. 

Hull has been away for over a decade, while the Tractor Boys went down two seasons ago. Both sides are playing at home against Manchester United and Sunderland, respectively.

Manchester United ended last season on a high. 

The Red Devils will start their new season on the road against the Tigers. 

Sunderland is in Europe, and they will need a deep squad to compete on both fronts. Their 2026/2027 season starts away at Ipswich.

Everton starts at home against Crystal Palace. 

The Eagles will have a new coach in the dugout after RC Lens manager Pierre Sage signed on as their replacement for Oliver Glasner. 

How will this one pan out at the Hill Dickinson Stadium?

Nottingham Forest and Leeds labored against relegation last season; they will face each other at the City Ground on the opening day, hoping to avoid last season's issues. 

Brentford narrowly missed out on European football last season; they will hope to take things a notch higher in the new season, but they start against Tottenham, who have been buying everything in sight.

Spurs survived relegation on the final day of last season, with Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, and Jan Paul Van Hecke in. 

Tottenham wants to fly way above the drop zone in the new season. Will Roberto Di Zerbi see them through?

Brighton and Aston Villa will start the Sunday games. It's a tricky game for both sides, but it will be fun to watch. 

Next up will be Manchester City, under a new manager, hoping to finally win the title again after two blank years.

It's the first time in 10 years that City has gone back-to-back seasons without winning the title. 

Ironically, Manchester City starts at home against the team that took the title away from them, Bournemouth. Will this be a grudge match?

Finally, on Sunday, Newcastle will host the deposed champions, Liverpool. 

The Reds must start sorting out their defense issues following the departures of Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate. Van Dijk is getting old; what is the plan at Anfield?

On Monday, Chelsea will visit Fulham in a London derby. 

It will be Xabi Alonso's first competitive game in charge of the Blues. 

All eyes are on Alvaro Arbeloa, who takes to the Fulham dugout after a weird season with Real Madrid.
