Barcelona’s Gerard Pique given 4-match ban for insulting linesman’s mother (Video)

Gerard Pique has been given a 4-match ban by the Spanish FA for his verbal abuse of the linesman in the second leg of the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic Bilbao on Monday night.


The Spain international defender was given a straight red card for shouting ‘Me cago en tu puta madre‘ at the linesman’s, after the official had failed to spot a clear Athletic Bilbao offside.

‘Me cago en tu puta madre‘ simply means “I’ll s**t on your f***ing mother”.

 Pique will now miss the first four matches of the new La Liga season.
