Summer transfer news is already moving fast, with Anthony Gordon to Barca, Robertson to Spurs and United chasing Ederson.

The FIFA World Cup kicks off in North America in a matter of days, but our focus today is on the transfer window, which is already buzzing with clubs and players tying deals up ahead of the official opening of the summer transfer window.

Some players and managers already bade farewell as the league season concludes; the Champions League final will take place on Saturday in Budapest. 

A few players from both participating teams will consider their future after the huge game.

Gordon leaves Newcastle for Barcelona.

After Marcus Rashford's successful loan spell at the Camp Nou, Barcelona is looking to add another Englishman to its ranks this summer. 

Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon has reportedly agreed to a deal that could be worth up to €80m, making him the second-highest sale by the club after Alexander Isak to Liverpool last season.

It isn't clear yet whether Rashford will return to Barcelona next season. 

United is willing to sell, but Barcelona's finances cannot accommodate such a price.

Robertson seals Spurs move

Scottishman Andy Robertson has agreed to a move to Tottenham Hotspur after the expiration of his Liverpool contract. 

Robertson spent nine years at Liverpool, winning the Champions League in 2019 and two Premier League titles.

Tottenham fought hard against relegation, and it only makes sense that they're already identifying reinforcements ahead of a new season.

Monaco announces Filipe Luis as the new coach.

Former Atletico Madrid and Chelsea defender Filipe Luis will become the new head coach at Monaco after agreeing to a 3-year deal with the French outfit.

Filipe Luis impressed greatly in the Brazilian league and was linked to the Chelsea job before the announcement of Xabi Alonso last week. 

The Brazilian will take over at Monaco on the 1st of June, when the transfer window officially opens.

Manchester United agrees to a deal with Ederson.

Atalanta midfielder Ederson has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Manchester United on a deal that will take the Brazilian to Old Trafford.

And all that is left is for the English club to open talks with Atalanta.

The deal on the table is worth €45m, with Ederson touted to be a like-for-like replacement for Casemiro, who has departed the club. 

Ederson is keen on the move; United will hope to wrap this up before the World Cup begins.

Nuno Espirito Santo set to stay at West Ham.

Following relegation to the Championship, West Ham has confirmed that head coach Nuno Espirito Santo will stay in charge as the club hopes to return to top-flight football next season.

There were talks of unrest in the Hammers' dressing room under the leadership of the Portuguese, but the club hierarchy has thrown its weight behind Nuno. 

It will be seen how many of his top stars will stay, but the Portuguese will hope to gain promotion with West Ham, as he did with Wolves in the past.
