The news many have been waiting for has been confirmed. Michael Carrick will be the official head coach at Manchester United. The former England midfielder will sign a 2-year deal with an option for another year.

How else do you want the Old Trafford clans to celebrate the emergence of Carrick as the club's new head coach, if not with a win over Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on Sunday? This is a game they will be dying to win.

It's Super Sunday. It's also the final game of the season at Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes is still in the running to break the record of the most assists in a season, currently one behind Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. You fancy him sorting it out before the end of the season.

Nottingham Forest isn't expected to trouble United so much. It's tough to see how Vitor Pereira's side will earn anything from the game. The season is done and dusted for Forest; safe from relegation and completely out of Europe, they're probably preparing for next season now.

It's more of pride than anything else for Nottingham Forest. This is a good time for them to test some players who haven't gotten real chances in the course of the season. They're in a preseason mood now.

Bruno Fernandes will be the man everyone wants to see on Sunday. It's the final home game of the season, in front of the fans who saw the embarrassing reign of Ruben Amorim; they all deserve to end the season on a high note on Sunday.

Morgan Gibbs-White is back and available for Forest. Chris Wood and Hutchinson are both available to start as well. You want exciting football; that's what both sides are primed to deliver on Sunday. It should be fun to watch.

Manchester United will play Champions League football next season. Now is the time to start considering new signings. Casemiro will leave the club in the summer; someone has to come in to replace him. Could Elliot Anderson be the man they'd consider?

Anderson has been featured for England. United could jump on his train soon before other suitors pounce on the Forest man. Elsewhere, United could also do with more creative midfielders as they hope to help Bruno relieve some pressure.

Verdict: United to win.
