Premier League GW 35 Predictions: United to beat Liverpool at Old Trafford
Bruno Fernandes is on the edge of history as another assist in his remaining four games takes him level with the league record, currently held by Thierry Henry and Kevin Debruyne. Will Liverpool let him get it on Sunday? (Photo credit: GOAL)

Only 3 points separate Manchester United from Liverpool in the race to finish third in the Premier League this season. This game at Old Trafford will be crucial.

From the Red Devils' perspectives, the thinking would be that of regret for persisting with Ruben Amorim for too long.

There's a sense of belief in the United camp that had they parted ways with the Portuguese manager earlier, United could be in the title conversation this season.

Arsenal is definitely out of sight now after beating Fulham 3-0 on Saturday.

The best finish United can muster this season is a second-place finish, which can only happen if United wins all four remaining games and City doesn't pick up more than 2 points in their remaining five games.

For Liverpool, it's a very poor title defence.

If persisting with a failing manager was the undoing of Manchester United, injuries and failure to hit form at the right time ruined Liverpool's season.

The season will go down as a failed one regardless of how they finish.

For a side that won the title with games to spare last season, spending hundreds of millions to reinforce in the summer made many think they're indeed ready to go again.

Liverpool fumbled many leads, and they now must find ways to finish strongly.

A win for Manchester United over Brentford on Monday meant the Red Devils will return to Champions League football next season; they only need to consolidate their third-place spot now.

Liverpool isn't at their best; there should be something for United on Sunday.

For Liverpool, they will hope the Red Devils don't do a double over them on Sunday.

Harry Maguire headed home the winner in the reverse fixture.

Arne Slot and everyone at Liverpool will love to do everything they can to stop another loss to United.

Bruno Fernandes is on the verge of history. With four games to play, the Portuguese midfield sensation can become the player with the highest assist in a Premier League season.

He is currently one assist shy of the record, which stands at 20.

Casemiro has been the biggest beneficiary of Bruno's assists this season; you wonder where United would be without the duo.

Kobbie Mainoo is another player who has contributed to the renaissance of United this season; how well will he fare against the Reds?

Liverpool will be without Mohammed Salah, Hugo Ekitike, and Alexander Isak on Sunday due to injury.

There's a fear that the Anfield ground may have seen the last of Salah this season. Will the Egyptian king give them one last dance?

Verdict: United to win.
