The Gunners are in their worst form this season. The Gunners have only one win in their last five, including the damaging loss at the Etihad last weekend.

Arsenal went into the game against Manchester City, knowing that only a win would keep the title in their hands.

A draw would have kept the advantage in the Gunners' way, but the 2-1 loss has now swung the advantage in the way of Manchester City.

It's still redeemable. Manchester City is only above Arsenal on the log of goals scored.

A big win over Newcastle on Saturday will restore Arsenal's place on the log, but they must keep up the good work if they want to land the title next month.

Newcastle is in a difficult position.

The only reason why there's no crisis call yet is that the gap between the Magpies and Tottenham in the relegation fight is healthy enough for survival.

Newcastle wants to compete for European places; they're far off from that.

Newcastle, under Eddie Howe, has evolved, but the club hierarchy is believed to have started consultations on the replacement for the English manager.

They're not in a good place for European qualification, and Eddie Howe's days might be numbered.

Arsenal has a date against Atletico Madrid in midweek.

The Gunners will prosecute their second straight Champions League semifinal in Spain on Wednesday.

A win for Arsenal in Spain could be huge, considering how they lost to PSG at the same stage last season.

Make no mistakes; Arsenal wants to win the Premier League.

The Newcastle game is as important as any other this season.

The Gunners won the reverse fixture at St. James's Park; they must win this one too to keep title hopes alive.

Anthony Gordon is unavailable for this game due to injury.

Tino Livramento is also out due to a thigh injury, while Joelinton is out of this one due to suspension.

Eddie Howe has enough to prosecute this game; it should be fun.

Arsenal could welcome Bukayo Saka, Ricardo Calafiori, and Jurrien Timber back to the fold, according to Mikel Arteta; they're all coming back at the right time for the run-in.

This game will be quite exciting.

Verdict: Arsenal to win.
