Chelsea could well be starting this game four points behind the Champions League spot, with Liverpool playing earlier in the day and able to move clear of the Blues.

Manchester United's point at Bournemouth took the Red Devils seven points ahead of Chelsea in the Champions League qualification race. Chelsea must be up for it when they visit Everton's new Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday.

Everton has performed well this season. The Toffees are chasing European football under David Moyes; Everton sits in 8th going into this one against Chelsea, and a win at home will take them within just two points of the Blues.

Everton gave a great account of themselves against league leaders Arsenal last weekend. The Toffees stayed in the game till the final minutes of normal time before being undone by Arsenal's resilience.

Chelsea lost at home last weekend to Newcastle. It was an unprecedented result that put their Champions League qualification in danger. You can argue that they had the PSG game in mind, but to what end?

In the end, PSG walloped Chelsea again in the Champions League. A nasty injury to Trevor Chalobah later in the game added pressure to a weak defense. Chelsea must find a way to win this one on Saturday.

What do we expect from the two teams? Everton will hand Ilman Ndiaye and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall the license to roam. The latter will hope to punish his former employers, who sold him to the Toffees in the summer.

For Chelsea, Chalobah has joined Jamie Gittens and Reece James on the injury list. It doesn't look good for Chelsea with their defense leaking goals. They must find ways to stop Everton, even as Liam Rosenior struggles with Malo Gusto's fitness.

Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer are the players to watch for the visitors. Both can decide games in a blink, but Palmer hasn't been his best for a moment. Both must come up strong if Chelsea is to earn a win on Saturday.

Verdict: Both teams to score.
