Miracles happen; teams who have been written off at Christmas have gone on to retain their top-flight status. However, nothing about this Wolves side gives a hint of a potential survival.

How do you lose 13 in a row in the Premier League? Sheffield United was fighting for their lives two seasons ago, trying hard to not be the worst ever Premier League side, but at this point, it looks like Derby County’s record is about to be usurped by Wolves.

Manchester United adapted to a new formation against Newcastle, and the shape paid off. The 1-0 win over the Magpies brought out a different Manchester United side. The fact that Ruben Amorim’s side didn’t concede despite going up early is a testament to what can happen if you choose to change a bit.

2025 hasn’t been a good year for Manchester United, but they can end it on a high. There’s absolutely nothing you expect from Wolves in this one. The Red Devils are expected to steamroll Wolves at Old Trafford, and if anything else happens, all eyes should be on everyone at the club.

Wolves turned up at the Emirates like a team that got a different verve. They self-destructed late on, but they rattled the Gunners. Wolves went to Liverpool and forced the hands of the champions before eventually losing 2-1. Can they do the same to Manchester United?

When the two sides met earlier in December, it was a massive win for Manchester United; we don’t expect anything different in this one. While the hosts will be without Bruno Fernandes for this one, we expect the same shape that defeated Newcastle to repeat the feat.

Rob Edwards becomes the second manager in Premier League history to lose his first seven games in charge. The Wolves' hierarchy should be looking to make strong investments in January to strengthen their squad, but is it not too little too late?

16 points from safety at this point is the biggest ever for any team in the Premier League, and to make it worse, no team has ever gone 18 games without a win in the first half of the league. Wolves is on course to break all possible records that no one at the Molineux will be proud of.

Patrick Dorgu was the star of the weekend for United; will he step up again on Tuesday? How should Wolves approach this? They should find ways to manage possession, and should they get chances, they must take them.

Verdict: United to win.
