What would you rather discuss at this crucial time? We guessed right; it must be transfers and speculations around players moving around. We take a look at the top five buzzing headlines in the transfer world; here you go!

Hugo Ekitike agrees to Liverpool move.

Liverpool has reached full agreement with Frankfurt for French striker Hugo Ekitike for a fee of £85m, which could rise after some realistic clauses are met.

Liverpool wanted Alexander Isak, but Newcastle wasn’t interested in negotiating; this led the Premier League champions on the path of former PSG striker Ekitike, who is now expected to travel to England on Monday for his Liverpool medical.

Rashford to join Barcelona on loan

After Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim makes it clear that the time of Marcus Rashford is up at Old Trafford, the England forward has now found solace in another loan move.

Barcelona confirmed on Saturday that they have reached full agreement with Manchester United for the loan signing of Rashford with an option to buy next summer. Rashford is on his way to Spain for his medical; this one should excite all parties.

City eyes Trafford as Ederson replacement.

After selling him to Burnley three seasons ago, Manchester City could be set to buy James Trafford back from newly promoted Burnley, with Ederson set to depart this summer.

Galatasaray is advancing in their bid to land Ederson from Manchester City; the former champions have resigned to fate on the Brazilian and have moved swiftly to ask James Trafford to return to the Etihad, leveraging their buy-back clause.

Roma signs Evan Ferguson on loan.

Brighton has loaned out promising striker Evan Ferguson to AS Roma, with the Italian side able to sign him permanently for £35m next summer, although it’s an option.

The Irish striker had suitors from the Premier League, but he prioritised Roma, and he’s expected to complete the move before the end of the weekend after already undergoing medical. Brighton will look to replace him in the coming weeks.

Arsenal weighs up Xavi Simmons bid.

Arsenal is clearly interested in signing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, but the deal is thought to be a difficult one considering the player has a release clause that the Gunners don’t intend to trigger.

In light of this, Arsenal is now mulling over a potential bid for RB Leipzig playmaker Xavi Simmons, who is itching to leave the German club. Simmons has been admired at Arsenal before, and he could be a great asset for Mikel Arteta if this one sees the light of day.
