Today, we take a look at various stories making the rounds, including the transfer window, the FIFA Club World Cup, and the ongoing European Women's Championship.

João Pedro fires Chelsea into the CWC final.

João Pedro's homecoming against Fluminense was a happy one for the Brazilian, as his brace helped Chelsea into the final of the ongoing Club World Cup.

After joining the Blues only a fortnight ago and being able to feature in the CWC by an extended registration date, Joao Pedro scored a beauty in the first half and another in the second half to earn Chelsea a spot in the final.

PSG dares Real Madrid in the other semifinal.

Real Madrid and PSG will square up on Wednesday night in what many would regard as the real final of the Club World Cup.

The two clubs have different motivations to go all out on Wednesday, as Champions League winners PSG take on the team they dethroned. It's going to be youthfulness against pedigree and Luis Henrique against Xabi Alonso.

Miedema promises to take the fight to Mead.

Viviane Miedema and her partner Beth Mead will face off on Wednesday at the ongoing European Women's Championship.

England and the Netherlands fight for three points in the second group game, with the English side seeking their first points after losing their opening game to France, while the Dutch beat Wales convincingly. The two lovers will keep their affair aside for once.

No Saudi talks for Martinelli, Rodrygo

Despite talks in many quarters about the possibility of Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli heading to Al Nassr for a whopping £75m, it is wide off the mark, according to the latest reports.

Real Madrid and Brazilian winger Rodrygo is also in the same boat, but he's been reported to only be interested in European clubs, and should he leave Real Madrid, Arsenal is his likely destination.

Galatasaray intensifies Osimhen chase

Turkish outfit Galatasaray has gone in with another bid for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen after Napoli rejected their penultimate one.

Osimhen has a release clause of around £70m, and Napoli won't budge on that; however, Galatasaray wants the Nigerian after a successful spell last season, and after watching their rivals reinforce, the Turkish champions must level up before season begins
