Manchester United rolled back the years to beat Southampton on Thursday night, thanks to a late Amad Diallo hat trick, but the biggest news in football right now is the transfer window and how teams are trying to improve their squad. Let’s take a look at some buzzing headlines in the transfer market.

PSG lands Napoli star winger

Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has landed in Paris to complete his move to the French capital club after the two clubs reached full agreement on the player’s transfer.

The Georgian winger has impressed greatly in Naples and has been a subject of transfer for the past few windows. Napoli has a big rebuild on their hands after Victor Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia’s departures.

Erling Haaland signs with City on a long-term

Manchester City has secured the signature of their star striker, Erling Haaland, on a nine-and-a-half-year contract, keeping him at the club till the summer of 2034.

Haaland may have lost steam, but everyone knows what he can do; the Cityzens have been busy in the window, trying to sign players to help their cause after their poor form saw them slump completely out of the title conversations.

Belgium fires Domenico Tedesco

The Belgian football association has announced that Domenico Tedesco, the national team's head coach, has been relieved of his duties.

Belgium has lost the fear factor associated with the team under Tedesco, with some players intentionally pulling out of the squad. Belgium is now actively looking for a replacement for Tedesco before their next international engagement.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær signs as the new Besiktas head coach

Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has signed to become the new head coach of Turkish outfit Besiktas.

The Norwegian left Manchester United in 2022 after replacing Jose Mourinho and has since been involved in football at the grassroots level in his home country. Besiktas has been poor this season, lagging behind Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

Juventus confirm Kolo Mouani will join

Juventus manager Thiago Motta has confirmed that the club will sign PSG striker Randall Kolo Mouani after Georgian winger Kvaratskhelia arrived at the French capital.

Juventus is struggling to find results in Serie A and needs a solution upfront. Motta is also insisting that Cambiasso, a player wanted by Manchester City, isn’t leaving, which is intriguing.
