Ruben Amorim will take to the Manchester United dugout at Old Trafford for the first time, becoming the eighth man to sit in there since Sir Alex Ferguson left in 2013.

David Moyes took charge, and Ryan Giggs briefly succeeded him before Luis Van Gaal was appointed peOle Gunnar Solskjaer first hired and fired Jose Mourinho on an interim basis before granting him a permanent contract.t contract.

Ralf Rangnick was temporarily in charge before Erik Ten Hag was hired, with everyone expecting the Dutchman to lead the club to glory; two domestic cups later, he has been fired, and stepping in is the Portuguese Ruben Amorim.

Everton remains stagnant, struggling to achieve results despite their occasional performance. They lack the necessary resources to compete with Manchester United, and with a new manager leading the team, this could present a significant challenge.

Goal scoring poses a significant challenge for the visitors; they plan to defend at Old Trafford, but for how long? Can they display bravery and let go of the handbrake for a change? Can they be accountable in possession? Can they remain compact and focused for the entirety of the game?

Manchester United will welcome back Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro, but the latter isn’t fit enough to feature. Johnny Evans may also be included, but his speed may not be suitable for the preferred formation of their new Portuguese manager.

Amorim faced new challenges after the Europa League comeback win, as a momentary loss of concentration cost them two quick goals; it will take some time, but he should find joy at home against a troubled Everton.

Will Amad return as a wingback? Will Nasir Mazraoui retain his left-centerback role?  Will Hojlund get the nod after his brace on Thursday? United cannot afford to drop points in this game, as their next is a big one at the Emirates against Arsenal.

Everton has Seamus Coleman and Armando Broja back in training. With goals proving elusive for the visitors, they could use some help from the Armenian striker on loan from Chelsea. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto have tried in vain to consistently show up; Everton needs goals from elsewhere.

Despite all the negativity at Everton, the Toffees could move within two points of the Red Devils, and a win could propel United into the top half of the log.

Verdict: United to win.
