To be honest, it's not anyone's favorite moment. The international break is here, and players are going to be representing their nations in friendlies and qualifiers. Let’s look at some hot topics ahead of the international games.

City and PL celebrate wins at the first stage of the ruling.

The first ruling of the court on the charges against Manchester City appears to have been orchestrated by PR machines, as both the champions and the Premier League celebrated on Monday. Neutrals don’t know where to stand yet.

The ruling on Monday has nothing to do with the 115 charges; however, discrediting their credibility could be a way for the champions to get away with most of them. At this point, the situation remains unclear, but we continue to wait and see how things develop.

Villa secures John Dhuran on a long-term contract

After an impressive run so far this season, Aston Villa has secured John Dhuran's signature for six more years.

The Villa striker is the hottest super sub in European football, coming off the bench to score the winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last week; the club now controls the narrative on his potential transfer while hoping he stays to help them achieve more.

Paul Pogba and Juventus discuss contract termination.

French star Paul Pogba has had his ban reduced from four years to eighteen months, which means he can resume training in January; however, Juventus has opened negotiations with the player to tear his contract.

Pogba believes he still has it in him to play at the top. Is he on his way to the MLS, or does any top club want to take a chance on him and his shenanigans?

Is ACL the new pandemic?

Players have come out to complain about the fixture congestion and having to play too many games, but the ruling body would rather managers maximise their squads than reduce games, but with too many players copping anterior cruciate ligament damage, will something be done about it?

Dani Carvajal was stretchered off in the game against Villarreal having ruptured his ACL, ruling him out for the rest of the season, while Torino striker Duvan Zapata has also been diagnosed with the same; something must be wrong with these knees.

Is Ten Hag safe?

The Manchester United board will convene on Tuesday to resolve numerous urgent issues, with the appointment of manager Erik Ten Hag at the top of the list.

The Dutchman had two games to save his job; the first was the away game in Europe against Porto, which ended 3-3, and the second was the uninspiring goalless draw at Villa Park. None of the performances indicated any significant changes, so will they fire him on Tuesday?
