It’s a really late kickoff for the Blues on Saturday as they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium; it’s a game they must take seriously after dropping points at home against Crystal Palace.

You look at Bournemouth, and you begin to trust Andoni Iraola's work. The Spaniard was on the cusp of the sack last season before clawing things back, stringing wins together and earning the trust of the owners; now he is gunning to the big boys in the league.

The Cherries have yet to lose a Premier League game this season, opening with a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest and forcing Newcastle to a 1-1 draw before stunning the entire Goodison Park crowd with a late show, coming back from two goals down to win 3-2.

Chelsea had a difficult start to life under Enzo Maresca. The Champions came to town first, resulting in a 2-0 loss, but they overcame Wolves 6-2 with a sensational second half performance.

Beyond the league standing, beating Servette over two legs to qualify for the group stages of the Europa Conference League counts for something, but the Blues have a huge journey on their hands; if they do make it to the latter stages, it will be a long ride.

How will the two sides approach this? Expect the home crowd to be excited after what they witnessed late on against Everton. They were poor for the majority of the game; however, their key men came through at the end, and they won despite being in a losing position.

The Cherries will play an expansive football, stretching the pitch and making Chelsea work; it will be more of a wing play, but the Blues will seek to make it narrow in the middle. Expect goals from this one, as both sides love to shoot.

Cole Palmer pulled out of the England games over the international break; it’s a conspiracy, as there was no news from anywhere about injuries before or after the Palace game. He will be fit and ready to go for this one.

Noni Madueke is another player to watch out for. Jadon Sancho could make his debut for Chelsea, while Justin Kluivert, Luis Sinisterra, and Evanilson are all going to be key for the hosts. Chelsea is the clear favourite, but they will work for their win.

Verdict: Chelsea to win.
