Oh, you think transfers will simmer after some preseason games get underway? If you don't want to lose, don't snooze... Things are happening; here are some examples.

Barcelona agrees to a €55 million deal for Olmo

Barcelona may be cash-strapped on paper, but they sure know how to finesse players of Spanish origin to listen to their sweet stories, and it’s not a huge surprise that Dani Olmo will be joining the Catalans in a €55 million deal that could rise to €62 million following some realistic clauses.

Olmo excelled at the 2024 Euros, benefiting from Pedri's unfortunate injury, scoring in consecutive games, and helping La Roja win the European title. On Monday, Deco visited Leipzig, reached an agreement, and Olmo will utilize his skills at Camp Nou in the upcoming season.

Transfer drama continues at Chelsea.

Chelsea is arguably the busiest team in the transfer window, with the Blues signing everyone they see. Connor Gallagher is expected to seal a move away to Atletico Madrid this week, but he’s not the only one leaving.

Armando Broja and David Datro Fofana are both expected to depart, with the Armenian leaving the squad that faced Real Madrid on Tuesday night. Spanish striker Samu Omorodion is on the verge of joining from Atletico Madrid; it doesn’t stop raining at Chelsea, does it?

In the midst of the FFP crisis, Barcelona is prepared to shed weight.

After landing Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig, FC Barcelona is now offering players to clubs to raise money in order to steer clear of financial crises.

Oriol Romeu has returned to Girona, where it all began on loan, with the surprise package of last season covering his entire wages. You should expect movements for the likes of Raphinha and some academy boys.

Arsenal’s Merino chase hits full gear.

Real Sociedad midfielder Mikel Merino has hinted that a move to Arsenal is imminent.

Merino returned to the club on Monday after his holiday following a successful Euro campaign, and he has now fully opened talks with the Gunners. We anticipate a fee of approximately €30 million to finalize the deal, with personal terms remaining unaffected.

Jean Claire Todibo sounds Juventus warning.

Jean Claire Todibo, a French defender, has told OGC Nice that he will not be signing a new deal despite his desire to join former Italian champion Juventus this summer.

Earlier in the transfer window, a deal with Manchester United fell through due to the French club's ties with INEOS, part of Manchester United's owners. Since then, the French defender has chosen Juventus as his next destination, a move that is expected to happen quickly, given the Old Lady's keen interest in the player.
