The Paris Olympics are well and truly underway, with athletes jostling for medals in various sports. We look away from the hunt for medals and focus on the buzzing transfer market, where teams are also fighting for players ahead of the new season.

A senior man agrees to move to join Sevilla.

After leaving Leicester City as a free agent, Nigerian international Kelechi Iheanacho has joined Sevilla on a three-year deal with the option of another year.

After being a part of Leicester's swift promotion back to the Premier League, Senior Man, as Iheanacho is affectionately known, chose La Liga over a return to the Premier League. The Foxes offered him a contract extension, but Iheanacho would rather embark on a new adventure.

Will AC Milan emerge victorious in the race for Youssouf Fofana?

AS Monaco midfield enforcer Youssouf Fofana has chosen AC Milan as his next destination, and he is expected to join the Serie A side in the coming days after agreeing to personal terms.

AC Milan hasn’t agreed on terms with Monaco, but the Italian side believes it’s not going to be a problem if they meet the club’s valuation of the player. Fofana became a hot target after a stellar performance for Monaco last season, and his quest for Champions League football fuels this move.

Where will Osimhen play next season?

Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen is almost certain to leave Napoli this summer, but no one can say for sure where he will run his trade next season.

Antonio Conte is quite clear; he doesn’t think Osimhen is his man for next season, although he is interested in getting Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. PSG wants Osimhen; Chelsea wants him too, but no one is willing to pay his release clause, so where will Osimhen play next season?

AC Milan is confident of signing Emerson Royal.

It's quite strange, but AC Milan wants to sign Tottenham's Emerson Royal this summer, and based on the circumstances, they're only one meeting away from agreeing on terms.

Tottenham is willing to sell, which makes the move easy to deal with. Last season, Emerson Royal was the weakest link in Tottenham's back line, failing to impress coach Ange Postecoglou; however, he might rediscover himself in the Serie A.

Arsenal are expected to go hard for Mikel Merino.

After the signing of Ricardo Calafiori, Arsenal is expected to go after Real Sociedad’s Mikel Merino as the man to replace the departed Mohammed El Neny.

Arsenal fell short of the Premier League title by just two points last season, with many people seeing their midfield instability as the cause. The Gunners are shipping out the English trio of Eddy Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe, and Reis Nelson, with Merino expected to join and maybe a winger later.
