Game Week 34 Predictions: Liverpool to win at Fulham

Arsenal leapfrog Liverpool and City; Liverpool faces must-win clash against Fulham to stay in title race.

Arsenal beat Wolves on Saturday at the Molineux to go three points clear of Liverpool and one point above Manchester City, who were away on FA Cup duties.

Liverpool knows what to do; they must beat Fulham convincingly to make up ground on the Gunners, who now sit comfortably on top regarding goal difference. It won’t be an easy game at Craven Cottage, but anything short of three points technically throws Liverpool out of the title race.

Fulham gave Liverpool a hell of a performance in the reverse fixture at Anfield; the Lilywhites led 3-2 at some points, but Endo Wataru and Trent Alexander Arnold scored two late goals, both screamers, to take the points away from Fulham.

A win for Fulham will take them up to 10^th on the log; they’re not going to face relegation talks and will also not be in Europe next season. This stage is to prepare for the pre-season and to see how they can finish in the top half.

Marco Silva has a fit squad; everyone is available to face Liverpool; their home form is amazing; they could trouble the Kops with their firepower; it’s a tricky game for Jurgen Klopp and his boys; the game would be cagey in patches.

Liverpool’s injury crisis is easing out; Trent Alexander Arnold is back, and the first-choice centre backs are available too; everyone in the middle of the park bar, Tiago Alcantara, is available. They must dig deep to grind out results at this critical stage.

Liverpool crashed out of Europe on Thursday despite beating Atalanta 1-0. Their first leg loss at home ruined their entire script, but they could still win the double. It’s partially in their hands to win all their remaining games, but they also need Manchester City to drop points.

How will Fulham line up? They will defend deep, soak up pressure, and then hit their visitors on the break. With Alexandra Arnold taking up spaces in midfield, Fulham will seek to utilize Andrea Perreira and Alex Iwobi to trouble Virgil Van Dijk and Ibrahim Konate.

Liverpool will unleash the quartet of Mohammed Salah, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and the returning Diogo Jota, who got minutes in their Europa League game in Italy on Thursday. Liverpool knows what to do to remain in the hunt for the title; they cannot afford to drop points.
