West Ham agrees on the Maguire fee with United.
In a sharp U-turn, Manchester United has agreed a £30 million fee with West Ham for former club captain Harry Maguire. The Red Devils had rejected the same fee for their England defender a few days ago, but as things stand, Maguire will be a West Ham player in the coming days, as personal terms wouldn’t be a problem.
Chelsea and Juventus are stalling on the Vlahovic/Lukaku swap.
Juventus fans took to the pitch to demonstrate their disgust for the proposed Dusan Vlahovic and Romelu Lukaku swap deal. The big Belgian turned down offers from Inter Milan in expectation of a move to Turin, but Chelsea hasn’t been able to negotiate with Vlahovic to complete the deal, and as of now, the proposal looks off.
Bayern turn to Chelsea’s Kepa
Bayern Munich has named Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga as their goalkeeper option after Yann Sommer left for Serie A and David Raya snubbed them for Arsenal. The Blues could be interested in the deal after landing Robert Sanchez from Brighton. Yassine Bounou and Gero Rulli are the other names on Bayern’s transfer list.
Chelsea submits a bid for Lavia
Following the departures of N’golo Kante, Mason Mount, and Ruben Loftus Cheek, Chelsea has turned to Southampton’s youngster, Romeo Lavia. The Blues saw three separate bids turned down for Moises Caicedo and have now given up on the Colombian. The offer to Southampton was believed to be worth £48 million, and that’s close to the Saints valuation of their midfielder.
Arsenal signs Raya on loan with the option to buy
Arsenal has agreed to a deal with Brentford goalkeeper David Raya, as revealed yesterday, but the Bees softened the terms to help Arsenal avoid FFP hammers. Raya will join Arsenal on an initial £3 million loan, and the deal will be made permanent after certain conditions are met. Raya will extend his current deal that expires next year with the Bees, and Arsenal can sign him for £27 million next summer.
