It’s show time for Chelsea and Liverpool and it’s beyond three points for them as the Moises Caicedo situation rings more hurt for the Kops after the Chelsea heist.

Jurgen Klopp already made an announcement to the media about the supposed imminent arrival of Moises Caicedo to Anfield but not long after, Chelsea made contact with the player’s camp and he switched his interest to Chelsea having given them his word earlier in the window.

The rivalry between Chelsea and Liverpool has become intense over the years and as it stands, the Super Sunday clash would mean more than three points.

But Caicedo is not expected to feature for either side although, the signs are quite clear that he favors a move to Chelsea than to the Reds.

Liverpool is thin in the middle of the pack; five players left in the summer and only two came in with Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister would try to fill the void left by Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, and James Milner.

Chelsea has bought every player they can but they still look unbalanced; a host of their players moved to Saudi Arabia and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang left for Marseille while the duo of Ruben Loftus Cheek and Christian Pulisic moved to AC Milan.

Chelsea’s team has new faces all over, from the dugout where Mauricio Pochettino replaced Frank Lampard, to the goalpost where Robert Sanchez is replacing Kepa, to the defense where names like Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill would be heard, and up-field where there are a host of changes too.

Liverpool’s cohesion is expected to be better than Chelsea’s but the Blues will have the home advantage in front of their fans.

Christopher Nkunku is injured on a long term but fans should expect to see the best of Mykhailo Mudryk this season.

Chelsea is expected to show a glimpse of the form that saw them win the Summer Series championship in the United States.

Nicolas Jackson is expected to drive the attack with Raheem Sterling also expected to have a great season.

Liverpool’s forward line is rich with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz hoping to line up with Mohammed Salah but there are also Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo in the mix.

It will be a game to enjoy for the neutrals at Stamford Bridge.

Verdict: Fulltime draw.
