We’re right in the thick of the summer transfer window, and we bring you some hot deals as players and clubs prepare for another blockbuster football season.

Chelsea’s Azpilicueta moves on

Despite having a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, long-serving captain Cesar Azpilicueta has joined Atletico Madrid on a two-year contract.

The Blues allowed the Spaniard to leave on a free transfer as a mark of respect, and his contract was terminated. Azpilicueta joins a host of players leaving the club this summer.

Loftus Cheek signs for AC Milan

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the latest player to walk away from Chelsea, and he has signed for AC Milan on a four-year deal.

Loftus Cheek joins the former champions for a €16 million guaranteed fee plus €4 million in add-ons, and he would look to throw himself once again into the national team setup by impressing with the Rossoneri in the new season.

Andre Onana to replace De Gea?

It’s no longer news that Manchester United will not continue with David De Gea after the club walked away from contract negotiations and is now negotiating with Inter Milan for Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The former Ajax shot-stopper impressed in his debut season at Inter Milan and is seen as the ball-playing alternative to De Gea.

Lucas Hernandez joins PSG from Bayern.

Bayern Munich has sold French defender Lucas Hernandez to PSG for a fee in the region of €50 million, including add-ons.

PSG continues to improve their squad ahead of the new season following injuries to their top defenders last season.

Hernandez brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the French champions.

Barce to terminate Umtiti’s contract

Samuel Umtiti’s contract with Barcelona is about to be ripped apart after both parties agreed to a contract termination.

The long-standing feud between the French and the Catalan giants is about to come to an end.

Umtiti spent last season on loan in Serie A with Lecce.

He joined Barca from Lyon for €25 million, but a series of knee issues ruined his beautiful script.
