Arsenal’s faint title hopes could fizzle out completely if the Gunners don’t get maximum points at St. James’s Park on Sunday.

Newcastle had a rude say on Arsenal’s top-four qualification last season, and once again, the Geordies have a say on Arsenal’s title chance.

But the only difference from last season, and more importantly for Newcastle, is the fact that there’s something to play for as well.

With United breathing down on Newcastle and Liverpool showing interest in the top four, Newcastle can’t afford to rest on their oars.

And this makes the game against Arsenal too important to joke about; this is pure joy for the neutrals.

Arsenal returned to winning ways in midweek against Chelsea with a convincing performance and must build on that if the title is to ever move to North London for the first time since 2004.

It’s not beyond Arsenal to perform here, but will they come to the party?

Newcastle’s form is sensational.

Averaging four goals a game in their last four games shows intent, and they will be in the Champions League with just two more wins.

Trust Eddie Howe to target one here to save the team from unnecessary panic.

The absence of William Saliba has coincided with Arsenal’s dip, but Jacob Kiwior was introduced against Chelsea.

And the Poland defender gave a great account of himself alongside Gabriel, but the latter will face a late fitness test after limping off against Chelsea.

Newcastle can once again play Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson together, but the midfield battle would be key.

Joe Willock and Bruno Guimaraes would prove a handful alongside the resurgent Joelinton, but Sean Longstaff could return.

Arsenal’s front three is expected to return to the status quo, with Gabriel Martinelli set to return after being rested against Chelsea.

Bukayo Saka’s form hasn’t been the same, but this is a game you expect him to flourish in.

Both have something to lose, and that makes this fixture an important one.

The first leg was a tempestuous one, and Mikel Arteta strongly felt Arsenal had been cheated. How will this one pan out? We can’t wait.

Verdict: Newcastle to win
