Conflicting news continues to trail the whereabouts of Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu following the unfortunate earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria over the weekend but club manager Volkan Demirel has denied claims the player has been rescued.
Ghana tabloids and a few journalists had reported that the former Chelsea and Newcastle winger was pulled out alive.
But Hatayspor and his personal agent have confirmed he hasn’t been rescued as search continues amidst the hot rubbles.
"There is no information on his whereabouts yet; we don't know where he is," Demirel said. "It's not the case that he was pulled out or taken anywhere else." – Demirel.
Atsu spent nearly a decade with Chelsea and Newcastle and moved to Hatayspor last year.
All prayers are up for the 31-year-old.
